.avi or .png as background or skybox
Hello,
I want to have as skybox, an animated skybox, not a static one. so i created with after effects an .avi (or .png sequence) file(s) and i struggle making that work because i cannot find a way to make this as a skybox.. it only accepts 6 images (front, back, left, right, bottom, up) and not an animated. Its surprising that none has ever made an issue about this or im just blind and cannot see how to do it -.-.
Thanks very much for your time.
EDIT: The workaround was to make an animator with the .png sequence files that follows camera (also made the layers so that this animator is being showed always on the background) but this is not a skybox its just a workaround.

Either use 2017.3 which has support for 360 video or use Unity's GitHub project.
You could also use RenderToCubemap along with a render texture, but that would be both expensive and unnecessarily complicated.
Wait what? I use 2017.1 Thanks so much for noticing, i think i'll be cool now!!!
