every time i open unity it shows compiler initialization error-Failed to get ipc connection from UnityShaderCompiler.exe shader compiler
I'm using unity 2020.3.5f1.

I had the same problem and I found out I had a missing file 'vcruntime140_1.dll'. I got this file and placed it in the same folder as UnityShaderCompiler. For me this folder was on this path: Program Files/Unity/Hub/Editor/2020.3.6f1/Editor/Data/Tools It worked fine after that! I hope this helps.
