Changing a particle's sprite sheet in script
Hey! First post here, but I have been looking around for anyone with a similar question to this and haven't found one yet.
I'm working on a 2D sprite-based game, and I want to have a multitude of one-time animated particles. For example, a splash of water, smoke puffs, etc. I'm very new to Unity in general, but so far I've managed to create one particle by creating an unlit particle material, setting the base map to my particle sheet, using that material in the renderer of my particle system and then setting up the texture sheet animation.
However, I'm gonna need a lot more particles, and I'm wondering if there is a way to swap the sprite sheet in code, or even change the material used in the particle system. Is this possible, or do I need to create a new material and particle system for every different particle?
