Question by DJRock2003 · Mar 31, 2016 at 10:06 PM · unity4language

What is Unity's language?

I just finished learning some of the basic programming languages, (JavaScript, HTML & CSS, C++ and C#) and I wanted to start programming with unity. I searched google and youtube but found no answer to my question... do you know what programming language unity uses?

thanks and have a nice day!

"I just finished learning program$$anonymous$$g"
Golden xD

Also you might find this article interesting.. Unity allows you to program in UnityScript, C#, and Boo. I believe the Unity runtime itself is written in C/C++.
Also welcome to the community! Please make sure not to ask too casual/trivial questions.

Please refer to Google before posting your question, please.

Unity3D's scripting system uses a modified version of JavaScript, called UnityScript, and also uses C#. You can choose to use either one or both.

Note: No one has ever "finished" learning programming.

Oh, sorry, I made myself unclear when I said that. I meant finished learning the basic stuff like the some languages (Javascript, HT$$anonymous$$L & CSS, C++ and C#) I've saw some tutorials on unity on youtube, only the functions though cuz I only started using it... and by the way, I did refer to google, but the search results weren't about my question at all... tried youtube too, but the same happened there. and I never knew UnityScript was a thing, thanks for telling me that, and sorry for troubling you.... thanks and have a nice day! :)
