Stop movement after button release

Hey guys,

Have a problem with my spaceship controls, trying to make them BF3 jet'ish, but don't know how to make spaceship IMMEDIATELY stop after input button is released. For example if I'm pitching up, I want the spaceship to stop pitching up IMMEDIATELY after I release up arrow button. Tryed playing around with input manager settings, didn't seem to make any difference, just reducing input gravity from my 1000 to 1 made it not stop pitching, and making it infinity+n didn't make any difference. Any ideas?

Please provide more information. How are you moving the spacship? Translation? Character controller? Rigidbody? Can you share your movement script?

If you are using rigidbody you can use rigidbody.drag , or else specify as robertbu suggested

You could always try to set your spaceship speed to 0 whenever you let go of a button.
