How can i adjust the hit point vector to point towards the players direction

I am using navmesh obstacle, but the player always goes around the destination building to drop resources off, I want to adjust the transform position vector so that it is moved a little beside the building, nearest to the players direction, so the player doesn't clash with the nav obstacle?
