true emissive atmospheric glow possible in Unity?
what ways are there to achieve a real glow/bloom in Unity?
I can figure ways to fake it with planes that have additive ramps from glow color to black on them... but don't want to go that way.
I don't mean this, it obscures/covers the object. http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/Components/script-GlowEffect.html
And I don't mean the Bloom trick featured in the Unity features. That's not the kind of glow I'm thinking of.
Think of the atmospheric glow around an object you get from neon in a light fog. Not just the emissive that affects materials/objects near, but also the atmospheric glow.
and how to add a bounty?
