cannot create scripts as components or add existing script
I recently updated unity and created a new project. I was dumbfounded when I couldn't create a C#script as a component the "create and add" button is grayed out and unresponsive. Then I tried creating a C#script in the assets folder, this worked, but when i tried to add it to my object it cam up with the error that it doesn't contain a class derived from UnityEngine.MonoBehavour even though it does becausei just made it and i can see the : Mono Behavour. I cannot code without scripts. HELP!
probably need to install unity package for visual studio or set the default code editor in unity.
