How to get better sprite quality without turning on anti-aliasing?
My game consists of basic circle sprites, and they look somewhat decent as it is, but could still get much better. I've tried anti-aliasing and it works pretty well, but was trying to avoid it as it takes a toll on performance. What steps can I take to better the quality of my 2D sprites? Thanks!
You could have higher resolution sprites and reduce their pixel per unit so they are not too big in game.
For example let's say you are using 100x100 sprites and ppu of 100. You could use 200x200 sprites and set ppu to 200, this way they will have twice as much pixels and be the same size which would improve quality
