Unity 2020.3 LTS or 2021.1 - which to choose?
Hello everybody!
We here at our studio need some help choosing a version for our project. We are working on a mobile game that is slated for release this autumn. The game is a pure 2D game and we are using URPs 2D renderer and most of the new 2D features. Now here is the dilemma. We know that the 2020.3 LTS is more stable and preferred for project that are about to be released. On the other hand, most 2D features and the renderer are marked as experimental in the 2020.3 LTS release. In 2021.1 they are not, and Unity promised a revamped 2D renderer in the 2021 release with better performance on ARM devices. We are also planing a Nintendo Switch port but I know the version in that SDK is very different then the standard ones.
Any help would be appreciated!
