Calculate child local position within a parent GO without a child, given a world position..?
Is there a simple way to get the local position IF there was a child game object at a given world position within a parent game object?
What I mean is that there is a parent game object with no children, and I want to calculate what the local position would be, given a world position within the parent game object without adding a child to the parent.

Not the answer, but I ended up just adding a child game object to the parent, setting its world position, then grabbing its local position, and removing it.
