Bend a flower
Hello,
This is my first question. I'm a very beginner, please take it into account. ;) So what components/techs should I use in Unity to do the following:
I have a mesh of a tree or a flower and I would like to bend it as it bends because of the wind. (ok, I know there's the wind system for terrains, but I need to calculate bending vectors for each object from other values and without any terains. Just like if I change the direction of the gravity force vector.)
Should I use bones, hinges, rigid body, what? I just don't know where to start. I have a single mesh imported from Maya.
Thank you very much.
Use joints, and use forces, like as if it were a more gravity static rag doll.
Sorry, but it does not help me over my question. How should I solve to make the branches of the tree pitch towards the ground or away from that? And how can I use joints for all the branches of a tree or for the leaves of the flower with a single mesh object? Can I stick given vertices to different joints? Or how? Please note that I need more than a few buzzwords repeated from my question in a single line. Thank you for your concern.
I would like to let my plant move its branches independently like the wind moves them in real life but as a first step it would be enough for me to make only one "chain" of hinges or spring or some kind of joints that bends my plant. Sorry if I can't formulate my words clean enough.
