The Unity Pro and Plus subscriptions have no limitations to customization of the Unity Splash Screen. It is not necessary to put their logo, only if you want.
You can customize the logo for all plans (even Personal!), but you can only remove it if you have the Pro plan I think. I don't think you can remove it with the Plus plan
No, you can customize the splash screen on all plans but cannot be removed on Personal because is free and acts like an ad, on Plus and Personal you pay money and the logo is not required anymore.

Subscription limitations
The Unity Pro and Plus subscriptions have no limitations to customization of the Unity Splash Screen.
"The Unity Personal subscription has the following limitations:
-The Unity Splash Screen cannot be disabled.
-The Unity logo cannot be disabled.
-The opacity level can be set to a $$anonymous$$imum value of 0.5"
Yeah, I know. I was saying you could customize the fading effect for example, but you can't remove it unless you upgrade to the Pro plan.
