Lightmap - Blotchy & Square
Hello,
I'm messing around with the light mapping within UnityPro, I tried applying it to one of my complex models, and after about 20 mins, the result is this:
Why has it turned out like this?
Thanks
If the results were just blocky, I'd think you need to increase the resolution. But to me that looks like your UVs are messed up. Check out Lightmapping UVs. It's just a guess.
Try setting everything really low temporarily so your lightmapping runs quicker and you can iterate through experiments until you figure out what's wrong. Then you can ramp up the settings to get better looking maps.
Try checking "Create Lightmap UVs" on your model import settings.
I just added my comment as an answer and up-voted Hoeloe's comment. If it's still working for you, please consider marking the answer as accepted in case it can help others in the future.
