Is it free to creat a PC game with unity?
I'm a student...I'm interested in PC games.I really want to creat a game to show something,but I don't have enough money to pay for the unity pro,and that's why I want to use a free engine to create a game. I wonder if it's free to creat a PC game with unity?And,is it illegal to sell the game that I creat with unity?
Yes, If you use Free version of Unity, you can export games for Windows, Mac, Linux or Web (I think flash too...) For Mobiles and Consoles you have to buy license for them.
Unity Free is free to use, and yes, you can create and sell games with it. You only have to pay for mobile/flash or Pro extensions. You also have to get a payed license if you have sales of more than $100.000...
This concept is called Freemium, where the basic features are free and you can choose to pay for advanced premium features.
