what best unity version for learning from absolute zero for low end PC to teach student for third word (poor country)


some idea:


version 4.x : i think its unity as simple one before complex in version 5 and up


version 5.3.8 : last version to support unity web player


version 5.X : last version of unity support 32 bit windows


version 2017 vs 2018 vs 2019 : i don't know what is key point between them


i want simple fast easy ... have internal documentation . no need internet because place i want to teach is lap with no internet


number of pc:20


cpu : core i3-2xxx


ram : 4gb


hard : 500 (hdd)


gpu : intel gen5 (intel hd)


no internet connection

if your students intend to use older or outdated machines then I would recommend unity 4. it doesn't require internet or the new unity hub. I still occasionally use unity 4.6 and every build still works on EVERY PC .... new and old.

idk, i have used 2018.4 for a while and i can say that i like it not too complex, not too hard on ur pc 2019.3 has new input system thats way more complex tho sooo idk, 2018.4(lts) be my recommendation

So you mention 2018 but i think 2017 same and more easy and fast but i think there no version of 32 bit for 2017 or 2018 or 2019 and so on ?
