2 Instances of Unity

Is there any way to have two instances of Unity running at the same time? I want to be able to look at two projects at once so I can decide which assets I want to transfer over.

Yes, um, make a shortcut to unity... then add this in the target line (I'll give you my whole line, and you can just put it at yours)...

"D:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Unity.exe" -projectPath c:\pr

So, after Unity.exe" add the .projectPath c:\pr... It'll ask you to open the projects when you run that then =).

I've done it multiple times... You can't open the same project though...

All the best!

Unity can also do that itself by going to Edit -> Preferences and then under the 'General' tab tick the 'Show Project Wizard at Startup' box. As Justin said though, you can't have 2 instances of the same project open at once.

Another alternative is to click the Shortcut to Unity, and then immediately hold down the ALT key. This will bring up the Project File Select dialog...

Cheers.

This helped me with a strange error. When I start Unity it says it cannot load database and it quits!. If I press Alt I can bypass it. :) Thanks!
