After starting an external program, how can I make my Unity program wait until the external program has ended?
As the title suggests, I'm looking to start an external program from my Unity program, and then I need to wait until the newly started program has finished before bringing the Unity program back to life.
Starting the external program is easy enough, but I'd like to know if it's possible to put my Unity program into a sort of wait state, whilst monitoring the external program for it's exit. My Unity program won't be overly extravagant, at least not initially, but it will have sounds, animations/videos, and many 3D models, so I'd like to stop all that while it's not needed.
I'm thinking that monitoring the existence of the external program is the best way, but maybe a check to see if it has focus would also work.
Any help much appreciated.
