Unity uses 100% of my GPU when selecting objects

This problem has just recently started happening, despite working on this project for several months on the same version of Unity. It may be related to my recent GPU upgrade (RTX 2070 Super). Every time I select an object in the editor, my GPU usage spikes to 100% and my entire computer locks up for up to several minutes. I'm using Unity 2019.2.91f
