Select more than one object with mouse in scene view
I'm using Unity 2019.4.14f1 on a Mac. In the scene view, I can select single objects with my mouse by clicking on them. I can also select a group of objects by dragging a rectangle over them. What I want to do, and can't, is either click on several objects to select them or unselect specific objects from a group I've selected by dragging a rectangle over them. I want to be able to change the color of every other block in a large group of adjacent blocks. I'm fairly new to Unity and C#, so I'm not able to do this in code at this point.
Holding the Command key does not let me select specific objects from the scene view, although Unity documentation suggests that it would. (It does let me select specific objects from the hierarchy view. But I have a lot of blocks, and it's hard to know which names in the hierarchy correspond to which blocks.)

Hold shift and click each one
Also works in the hierarchy and lots of other apps btw
Thank you for answering. (I probably should have mentioned that I'm using Unity 2D.) For some reason, your suggestion isn't working for me. When I hold Shift and click a second object, the selection toggles to the canvas on my first click on the second object and then toggles back to the first object with my next click. The selection then toggles back and forth between the object I selected first and the canvas.
That's weird maybe you have a key bind set to shift in settings?
Because it's worked for me in a 2-D project before and I am on a $$anonymous$$ac as well
