Reduce stretching caused by camera perspective on space skybox
Hi, I wonder if anyone has some tips on a slight issue I'm having with my skybox.
Essentially I'm creating a space scene in my game. I'm using a skybox with star field textures. The problem I'm getting is slight stretching of my stars around the edge of the camera, I know this is caused by the perspective of the camera etc. As it is stars in space it really sticks out as odd. The stars shape slightly distort/warp when close to the edges, as my camera turns and the stars work there way from the edge to the centre you can see the shape change to what it should look like. As space is so vast it's quite unrealistic.
I have messed around with the field of view and it does help a little getting a good setting but it's still not perfect and noticeable, does anyone know a way I can fight back the warping of my stars around the camera edge on my skybox? I've tried a inverted sky sphere also, same outcome.
Thanks

Ok it seems I may have answered my own question, I managed to combat the issue using a Cubic Distortion/Distortion effect from the Colourful FX asset. The effect is called Analog TV. The standard Fisheye effect does the trick also but the Colourful one will give you more control and less messing.
This has lead me onto another issue and thats adding camera effects in deferred mode to multiple cameras using clear depth only. I have 2 cameras and can only apply the effect on the top camera.
