Can Unity3d (without any add-ons) handle an MMO style game?
Can unity truely create MMOs on a scale of 30 people per server instance? I hear a lot about how unity can't handle an MMO type game.
and also, can unity's networking interface, if used properly, be used as efficiently as ulink? or should i just give up trying to make a online server based mmo... :(

You can do it, but only if you know how to code it properly.
