Detect obstacle on path
Hello, I wanted to ask if anyone knows any good obstacle detection solution on path? currently I have SphereCast from node to node but these nodes are 20, so it's 20 spherecast in one frame, and there may be more vehicles, so it's hard for the processor. Is there maybe a more efficient way?
Why perfor$$anonymous$$g a sphere cast between each nodes instead of in front of the vehicle only?
Because he has to detect an obstacle in his path. If he was using sphereCast only in front of him, vehicle would stop at sharp turns by another car that passes by but does not cross vehicle's path. The vehicle must also slow down in good time. It cannot hit another vehicle just because it was around a sharp corner and was not detected because the SphereCast only works in front of the car. As in the picture, the red obstacle must already be detected for the car driving at high speed to begin to slow down.
