What is the proper way to setup both LODS and lightmappings?
I'm having a problem where if I lightmap a scene where some objects have LODS, only the LOD0 is properly illuminated, producing an obvious switch when the user moves away, since the lower detail versions are significantly darker.
I've read around that I can fix this problem by using light probes, but I'm not fully sure of what would be the procedure (what should be static and what dynamic, lights should be static or mixed, what objects should be visible when baking the lightmap, etc.).
