Can I use a free unity asset in an example scene for my asset?
Hey
I downloaded this free barrel asset made by Unity Technologies from the asset store and I was wondering if I can / have permission to, use it in an example scene which comes packaged with a asset I hope to be selling on the asset store. I'm not trying to resell the asset I just want the example scene to look good to showcase the assets I have created. I want to make sure I'm clear on this before I start making videos about the asset etc... Thanks
I have read it and from what I can tell I am allowed to use it in my example scene as long as I also include license.txt in my package to make clear the terms and conditions around using the 'mixing barrel' asset. $$anonymous$$ore comments would be appreciated on this though just to make sure I've got it right

Everything you need to know is in license.txt, but if you have more questions contact the publisher.

You can use it as long as you aren't publishing it as yours, that is why you have to include the license, so others would know that you didn't create it.

Yes of course, Free assets are available for download and use in our games. You don't have give any royalty for them provided the asset owner allows public licence for usage
