Unexpected token: .. help

im trying to make animated movment but line 6 keeps failing

animator = GetComponent.(Animator);

error is : Assets/Charecter/movment.js(6,27): BCE0043: Unexpected token: ..

pls help

Your syntax is incorrect. Unityscript's (slightly peculiar) generic syntax is:

 animator = GetComponent.<Animator>();
