Copyright Code and Citing
Hi,
What I am doing
So I've been working on some flight physics, and have been using a script I found on github as a reference. I than go and re-implement some of the code, and I usually change variable names, implement flight formulas differently, etc. I get my formulas from NASA website
My thoughts
I than started thinking about plagiarism and was wondering if there is a need to cite code? Based on the script I found on github, I have changed quite a bit of it, using different formulas here and there, and in general doing some things differently. So my question is, when do you know if the script is yours, or theirs, and if theirs, do you always cite? I found this in unity answers.
My general thinking has been that anything usually on the net is free to use, without citing, but maybe it's not?
