How to add space between 2D Rigidbody objects without using colliders
Hello!
I am building a game in which there is quite many ball-like gameobjects stacked up on top of and next to each other in a grid-like formation. Ball-objects have Kinematic rigidbodies and 2D colliders in the start of the game which I then move with Transform component. 2D collider is used to detect collision of two objects. And then destroy the colliding object from the game.
After the object is destroyed the game disables the Kinematic attribute from all the other Gameobjjects. So basically the game uses gravity to drop the balls if there are any balls missing from the grid.
The problem is that for gameplay reasons I need to have more vertical space between the gameobjects in a grid. I just cannot wrap my head around how to accomplish that since after I disable the Kinematic variable all the gameobjects fall just next to each other clearing any space which was done in level setup phase.
