Do i have to configure OAuth Consent Screen to get google Api services in my game or leave it as it is?

I am finished with creating google play games services, have my upload and sign in keys. Even swap my keys in the Credentials just to run GPGs login authentication. Yet nothing happened. So, Is it necessary to configure OAuth Consent Screen in google Api services ?
