Programming in a nut shell
I have practically no programming skills. So far I only understand parenting and editing objects. I have no idea how to program. How would I learn to program things in a game? What kind of programming should I trust?
To be honest, if you don't know any program$$anonymous$$g at all, you shouldn't make a game. In order to make any kind of usable or working game, you need to have to know some fundamentals of program$$anonymous$$g and having experience using this for normal program$$anonymous$$g (small applications/tools), before you even think into making a game.
If you lack of this, you're pretty sure going to fail into making a game, since it's more complex than basic program$$anonymous$$g (i.e. moving into 3d space, knowing the engine or even optimizations).
I have to partly agree with Tseng. If you have no program$$anonymous$$g experience at all it can take a great amount of time to get familiar with a language / design pattern / general syntax / common program$$anonymous$$g style. If program$$anonymous$$g is "your thing" and you're willing to learn it nothing is impossible, but if you just had the quick idea of making a game, i guess you're prone to fail or at least you get stuck every few lines of code.
