Miss a target and add to timer
Hi, I have a race type game were the player is timed going around the track, and they must go through the hoops. Any hoops missed will incur a 10 second time penalty added to their time at the end.
My thought on doing this would be to have massive colliders with a hole in for the hoops, so if the player hits one of these (meaning they have missed the hoop) they will get a penalty.
Is there a better way?
Thanks :)

Another solution would be if they get at a point(puting the point inside the hoops. But i think its just easyer with colliders.
Thanks. Since typing this I've thought an if statement could work.
Say I have 20 hoops, any less will add a ten second penalty. That could be easier
