Question by phatmysquar · Oct 16, 2017 at 11:06 AM · androidandroid buildandroidplugin

Where to put google-services.json when using apply plugin: 'com.google.gms.google-services' in build.gradle

I try to add my aar libs to unity project. And I read this document https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/android-gradle-overview.html Everything work ok. But when I build it, I miss a problem Execution failed for task ':processDebugGoogleServices'.

File google-services.json is missing. The Google Services Plugin cannot function without it.

Searched Location: /Users/Shared/Unity/Standard Assets Example Project/Temp/gradleOut/src/debug/google-services.json /Users/Shared/Unity/Standard Assets Example Project/Temp/gradleOut/google-services.json Because I using apply plugin: 'com.google.gms.google-services' in mainTemplate.grade. So where can I put google-services.json to build project. I try to put it in: Assets, Assets/Plugins, Assets/Plugins/Android, Assets/Plugins/Android/assets all of them still not work

if you use firebase unity plugin, you fill find a python code that can convert google-services.json to google-services.xml. when you has this xml, you don't need apply plugin: 'com.google.gms.google-services'

Hello $$anonymous$$attchen,

I am getting the same error. Could you please tell where should I place google-services.json or how to use google-services.xml while registering firebase on Android native end.

Any help will be very thankful. Thanks in advance
