newer unity versions dont run
hello. I've used unity version 3.3 for a month now, but now I need the new version 4 and up, but when I install it on the startup it shows error of type don't send. Tried 4.3, and 4.0, same eror. I'm running win xp sp3, pc specs are 768mb ram, 1.8ghz amd proc, and a ati 9800 pro 128mb but its very fast card at performance. Tried mcsft visual c updates and dx updates, none work. Same thing with 3dsmax-older runs(2009) but newer not(2001)
so is it the hardware that is old, or the windows is missing something?
Yes, its a basic windows application error telling me to send report to $$anonymous$$icrosoft. When I click on details it says: Error signature App name: unity.exe AppVer 4.3.2.30490 $$anonymous$$odName: unity.exe, $$anonymous$$odVer:4.3.2, Offset: 00007852, then some reporting details. And there are 2 buttons : Send Error Report, and Don't Send
And unity 3.4 doesn't run, only 3.3. I still think my OS is missing something
Yes problem is from your Operation System! Microsoft is end update Windows XP OS lets change your OS or format your Personal Computer it will be useful , and if your PC can run Windows 8.1 format that version if it can not format Windows XP( this is very old but it is solution too)!
You can download WIN 8.1 from $$anonymous$$icrosoft site and format!
