Transitioning between character sprites in a linear wiper like filter motion
So I am working on a 2D game in which you can get underground anytime and the character's silhouette is to be used for the underground sequences. The problem is that the silhouette and the normal sprites need to be swapped in a transitional wiper like style i.e. as his feet is in the ground it becomes a silhouette but his head still looks normal. A workaround that I have is that I will have a large patch of grass that I can use for transitioning, but this is not the ideal method. Any suggestions?
