Car Tutorial Broken in 3.4?

I used the car tutorial a few months ago to put together a little demo and in the latest version there seem to be a few issues with it sliding around on its own with no throttle applied. If you reverse the car it also seems to drive forward without any input.

Anybody know what the problem is and how I might fix it?
