Doubts: Project Few Elements (Classic vs DOTS)
Hi everyone!
I did a game(PONG) with Unity Classic and then the same game but I did it with DOTS. I compared the two games and I see that the project Classic has around 800 FPS and the project DOTS has around 190 FPS. These projects have few elements in the Scene. I have a several questions. These FPS values are because there are few elements in the Scene or why?. Then, if you have few elements in the Scene and you want to do the project more optimized, do you choose to do it with Classic Project? Does the Classic project have more advantages with projects with few elements?
I wait you can help me with these questions
Thanks in advice
Weird, I made the same project and I get 2000 fps, Although I haven't made a pong game in the classic version to compare the two. I also heard that they are optimizing the renderer into the hybrid v2, which I presume will achieve higher fps. Personally, I am super hyped as I spent 9 months prototyping a survival factory game and I would love to convert the whole thing to DOTS as there is a lot of the same type of objects (4000+). I would love to hear any more information others have on this topic.
