-vrmode equivelent in Unity 2019.3+?

It used to be possible to specify as a launch parameter vrmode openvr or vrmode oculus, to make the game launch in either OpenVR or Oculus mode. With the new way of using VR plugins introduced in 2019.3, it seems like this no longer works.

Is there some alternative way of choosing the VR mode at launch now?
