The Beast error?
I have a 800x800 terrain and I start baking scene. My building was 1/2 of the terrain & contain ~1000 objects, after ~18h hours baking and the
result is 1297 1024x1024 light maps. The first problem is the game running very slow, before baking it's was ~30 FPS and after is ~2 FPS. My bake
setting was default. Mode is single light maps, Bounces is 4, Resolution is 3000, Ambient Occlusion is 1.The second problem is after baking, the scene look very bad, it's so ugly.
After I clear the light maps,
everything go to normal. Well, sorry for my bad English but please help me
can you add a screen shop of your scene? it will help me diagnose your problem.. by the sounds of it... the low FPS rate you have is caused by the 1300 1024x1024 maps in memory.. so that is where the lag is co$$anonymous$$g from... try reducing the resolution
Thank you, but i clear it, too lag for screenshot @@, just only the clear lightmaps step take me ~30 $$anonymous$$utes :((
But i saw there was no sight of the Global Illu$$anonymous$$ation after baking :((
Uncompressed, at 16 bit color resolution without an alpha value, that's 7.5 gigabytes worth of lightmaps. I really do wonder what super-computer millionare target audience you have where that could work out... I'm surprised Beast didn't just give up on you.
I have A8-5600k with 4Gb of RA$$anonymous$$, yeah it's increase ~2Gb after baking. But i have read somewhere that lightmapping will increase performance and more beautiful. Please help me, what can i do :((
