Player controls for scrolling horizontally/vertically?

I have a scroll rect with both horizontal and vertical scrolling. Vertical scrolling can be controlled with the mouse wheel automatically, but I can't find a way to control horizontal scrolling, other than dragging the scroll bar. Is there an existing way to control horizontal scrolling? (eg. Alt + scroll) Or is there a way to configure it?
