is using a cracked unity illegal
i'm using a cracked version of unity so i can use pro features. Is it illegal. Keep in mind that downloading is legal in my country.
This is somehow inappropriate posting here...
Also, even though your country allows downloading, I think the EULA states that you agree to go by the law of Denmark, where using a crack software is illegal. So, all in all you are doing something you kinda should not.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean that "downloading is legal" in your country? It's the thing that you're downloading that deter$$anonymous$$es whether it's legal or not, not the act of downloading itself.
It's like walking out of a shop with a television under your arm is legal if you've paid for it first, but not if you haven't...
I've added a comment on your Unity account to say that you have been using cracked versions, and will be switching to legit Unity free today. Please P$$anonymous$$ me on the forum once you have a free serial and I'll revert your answers status.
Of course it's illegal. Cracking it alone is illegal enough, but if you intend on publishing content made with the cracked version of Unity, you've broken many more laws. Unity could take you to court if they wanted, so I'd just save up for pro.
Just because downloading is legal doesn't mean pirating is.
