Move Character animator

Hello. I'm a new user of Unity 3D and I have the Personal version. I want to control a character. And this character use animator tech. Befor I have use a character with a list of animation. I use the commande :

animations.Play ("walk")

To play animation. And when I move my character, He have a animation But know i don't know how to do this with my new model Somebody can give me a complet script to move, front back left rigth and to jump with animations for this character :
