              RTS dynamic formation width and length
I am trying to may a system for an RTS style game were you select your units then you can click and drag out a box that will take the number of units and based on the width and length of the box you drag out determines the amount of space between units and the amount of rows and columns in that formation and then the units will move to that formation. I can select the units but I am having trouble after that trying to make way points when i drag out a formation. I have seen video's that do exactly what I want so I know it can be done but I am having trouble making the system required.
