Hinge Joint Giving Fake 'Slack'
I'm working on an idea, and it involves using a hinge joint as a 'rope'. What I'd like to do is have the joint go slack/disappear if the player walks towards it, but if player walks against the rope length limit or presses a key to make the joint go taut. So that the player can't go any further away or could swing, but if they are close to the anchor the rope is 'slack' so it doesn't affect the player.
What I'm talking about is a bit like a swing, lean back on it its taut, if you got lifted up close to the high bar and dropped the chain wouldn't affect you until the rope went taut again.
I only need the physics part of this, but if you have a magic rope asset I'm all ears, and preferably could answers be in C# ( I can decipher Java but it would be more helpful in C#).
