What to do if a Windows Security Alert Shows When Opening Unity Hub
So I am on Windows 10, and I am trying to run Unity, when a Windows Security Alert showed. Here's how it went.
So I downloaded Unity Hub (I'm not sure if that's the right application), I opened it, and I get this message from Windows Security Alert:
Windows Defender Firewall has blocked some features of Unity Hub on all public and private networks. Name: Unity Hub Publisher: Unity Technologies Inc. Path: C:\program files\unity hub\unity hub.exe This app has already been blocked or unblocked for a different network type. Allow Unity Hub to communicate on these networks:
It then showed two check boxes where you can check one or both of them.
[ ] Private networks, such as my home or work network [ ] Public networks, such as those in airports and coffee shops (not recommended because these networks often have little or no security)
I've seen this security alert before, but I normally press cancel and either delete the application or not use it ever again. But I want to use Unity to make a game so I can't just delete it or not use it ever again. So can someone please help me with this? Thanks!
Thats actually not a security risk, but rather an alert to make you chose what network the Programm can use, you can just let it stay default so it just uses your private network, that should work totally fine.
