Trying to get collision detection between a game object and signed distance field [SDF]
Hi and thanks so much for reading... If at all possible could someone explain how I might start in achieving collision detection between objects rendered to the camera on a quad using ray marching and rendering some SDF. With a consequent Gameobject placed into the scene alongside the quad rendered camera depth texture based SDF, is there a specific route to obtaining collision/ intersect data that I can then get control of back inside of Unity. I thought abstractly about the depth buffer as its being used to render the result of a Gameobject and the SDF intersecting visually, so thought i might retrieve that data back into Unity perhaps somehow - bit stuck and brain melting, any guidance would be very appreciated
