Export a scene using a script?
Im making a level creator for my game where the player can export the scene to their pc by putting the data of the scene into a locally stored .unity file. Is there a way that I can do this. If not, any alternatives?
No idea if that is possible, but I would probably just iterate over all objects in the scene and store the bare $$anonymous$$imum amount of information about them, like what object it is, location, rotation and so on in a file and then just read in this file to recreate the scene afterwards.
That way you'd have very small files that make use of the assets that you already have in the game, rather than larger .unity files
Unless of course you have some way of letting users add their own models or content into the scene that you don't already have in the build of the game ^^"
