Your APK should include custom drawables assets for common tablet screen densities.
Hi, i'm trying to publish my unity game on google play and i cant find an answer to this error anywhere. when i upload a 10" screenshot google play says "You uploaded screenshots for 10-inch tablets, but your APK does not seem to be designed for 10-inch tablets." why i click learn more it says "Your APK should include custom drawables assets for common tablet screen densities."
What do i need to do differently to fix this issue so my games is listed as "designed for tablets"? my game works and can be download on tablets... but says its not designed for them?
What version of unity are you using? When I published with 5.4 a while back - I didn't have this problem (had been publishing from 5.2 onwards). Now I thought I should switch to 2017.3.0 and this happened.
Either Unity introduced this in a recent build (~2-3 months) or Google added some weird check.
Any luck in solving that? I have same issue while using 2017.3 and while looking into the apk file I cannot spit what’s wrong. Surely the icons are in all resolutions.
I had some luck but haven't implemented it yet got sidetracked with other projects since my games all work on tablets other than that warning that it might not be compatible. so to help the best I can... I found out that what google play cares about is in the android manifest. need to make custom asset packs for densities and declare them there. lol as to how to do that... I'm sorry not much help there.
I believe that its something Unity changed in their default base package for an Android App. Tried already modifying $$anonymous$$anifest (supported screens section) and added mipmap folders with an icon. Still same error reported by Google. I believe this is quite important to be listed as "supporting tablets" because Google surely uses this to filter / sort search results for Tablet users.
I am also looking for a fix, for some time already, no luck yet, tried everything I found on the web. Using unity 2018.1.3
