Spline Designer in Unity what is the best approach?
I'm busy for my work with a proof of concept for a spline designer application in Unity. After I did some research I figured out that it was the best to use the Line Renderer of Unity. There are also some spline or curve tools but mostly they are in the editor only and I need it as a stand alone application.
Is there anyone out here that has experience in creating splines for a application so users can bend a curve to their own specifications? Is my approach right is it usefull to use the line renderer or is it better to use another function or tool?
This is what I got so far:
The ball can be moved and the line will move with the ball so it will adjust the curve.
I hope to get some nice feedback that is helpfull. I want to thank you in advance.
The problem with the tool you said is that it is a vector and can only move over 2 axis. I want my points to move over 3 axis. You need to be able to move around the object.
That's fine; splines can use Vector3. There's another demo that makes 3D splines using spheres that you move around, and while it currently uses the positions of the spheres in the editor at startup, there's nothing stopping you from making it so that you can move the spheres around at runtime.
