Crash on startup in 4.6.x, but not 4.5.5

After installing 4.6.0, Unity crashes on startup before it ever even shows the editor window. Installing 4.6.1 had the same effect. Re-installing 4.5.5 stopped the crashes, but I'd like to be able to upgrade.
