2D level design workflow tools in Unity
We make 2D sidescroller slasher, and lately I was wondering if there are some useful tools for designing 2D environments and getting a hold of a workflow better. I've searched asset store regarding this problem too, but except a single tool which was better in tilemap drawing there wasn't anything worth checking. If there are tools that would allow working on declared placeholders and later, when graphic assets are done, replace them by tag or something, that would be great.
The problem is everything on the scene must be sorted manually, and this is a ton of work for environmental artist, all the paralax backgrounds, foregrounds, tilemaps on different layers... If there is some way to speed up/automate things, this would help us a lot.
